Is the M1 Macbook Air Good for Video Editing?

Is the M1 Macbook Air good for video editing? I get asked about this all the time and I've been working hard to test this machine and push it as hard as I could...for now.

In this video I bring you behind the scenes where I review the M1 Macbook Air and put it up against 6K cinema camera footage from the ARRI Alexa. This footage was used directly from ARRI’s available files and all clips have been downloaded in Raw format and then converted to either 4444XQ, 4444, or 422HQ footage and placed in a Final Cut Pro timeline.

I am using the M1 Macbook Air with 16GBs of RAM and a 256GB internal drive, however I am editing the footage on the “fastest external SSD for video editing.”
