Gaming on the M1 Mac with Shadow of the Tomb Raider and World of Warcraft Shadowlands is something I’d never think possible on a Mac mini. But, in this review I continue to test out the M1 Mac from Apple, and it just keeps on outperforming my expectations.
Speaking of expectations, let’s keep things at a reasonable level. I’m definitely not telling you that this Apple Silicon Mac dominates a highly spec’d rig or any gaming PC you may have built. Yes, the M1 Mac gaming performance is great for what I need. And, it may also be great for many other creators looking for an all-in-one device to get to work and play.
What I am saying here is that being able to use a machine that I have in my video and photo editing workflow, and then being able to transition over to a few graphics intensive gaming options is pretty cool and very convenient. Not to mention at the price point that these M1 Macs are coming in at because it’s very hard right now to find anything equivalent for the price. I am using the 16GB version of the Mac mini.
