Record a Podcast with Multiple Microphones on one Computer
Can you record a podcast or interview with multiple USB microphones on one computer? The quick answer is yes.
Recording a podcast or video interview with multiple people using different mics with separate tracks isn't easy, but it's possible. In this video I walk you through setting up an aggregate connection on MacOS using Garageband.
This set up can be used on several DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations) and I've listed some options below for both MacOS and Windows. For Windows you will need an extra plug-in to create a virtual mixer, and that can be found here (Voicemeeter Banana): http://bit.ly/voiceMbanana
If you're seriously considering recording audio like this regularly, then you may want to consider upgrading to an interface like the Scarlett or a handheld recorder like the Zoom H6.
